1 JUL 2026 - Research Associate (cell culture with iPSC experience)
Description
We are seeking a motivated research associate as both an independent and highly collaborative supporter for our research and lab activities. You have an applied-science mindset in order to help our efforts to develop and optimize the use of hiPSC-derived brain cells from patients with neurodevelopmental disorders for diagnostics and drug discovery.
You will be supporting the generation and preparation of hiPSC-derived brain cells for our drug discovery efforts, carry out routine lab protocols as well as lab organization.
Requirements
A B.Sc./M.Sc. in life science or related field (e.g., biology, neuroscience, molecular biology, biotechnology or stem cell biology)
Extensive experience with cell culture specifically with human stem cells. Experience in drug screening is a plus.
Experience with molecular biology methods, such as PCR, DNA/RNA extraction and quantification, gel electrophoresis is required. CRISPR is a valued addition.
Effective oral and written communication skills with good command of English is required.
Self-organized and a flexible team player with a hands-on approach.
Critical mindset with the ability to identify problems and analytical thinking in order to solve them.
Reliable with a strong organizational talent to manage project and lab operations.
Enthusiastic about translating basic research into applicable technology to improve the lives of patients.
